I speak for myself as pastor of this church: yesterday, May 1st WA Gov. Inslee extended the pandemic separation, with limited recreational releases. However, for the churches it changed nothing; we must still refrain from gathering. While I pray for him, I also disagree with his action. People are more than aware of the crisis and have never been as careful. To foster further fear is bad business. Nothing is more essential, or more powerful, than a body of believers interceding for the nation, and for local government offices.
This we do.
This week was to be our National Day of Prayer breakfast, and that has been omitted from the schedule for the first time in 17 years. We will conduct an NDOP function “Live” on Facebook at 7 a.m. on the Ocean Park Community Church page, and I invite you to join us Thursday, May 7. Likewise, we continue to worship and give thanks, streaming “Drive-In” church service. Our Sunday morning worship stream is at 11:00 am. You can join us from inside your car in our parking lot, tuning to 96.7 FM. (local transmission only).
Thank you for sharing in tithes and offerings; you can give during our service, mail gifts to PO Box 247, Ocean Park, WA 98640, or give online. People are sharing worship from afar and I am grateful this avenue of connection is availed to us. Remember Scripture: “Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks, for this is the will of GOD, in Christ Jesus, concerning you.”
